So busy this week. Getting ready to put my art in a gallery down town for a holiday bazaar thru December. I also want to put more in my etsy store. Also working hard to do some changes for next year. We also had some seriously big drops at work to get out.
What else? Need to get my outdoor lights and decorations up if it will ever stop raining. Need to get tree lights out and check them and drag out all the rest of the decorations. I would really love to use my animated decor this year.
I haven't used them in years.
And cards. I don't send out as many as I use to, but I still have some to send out. I need to go get that bottle of rum for my fruitcake recipe. Or just soak one already made in it.
Did I mention that I have not even started my Christmas shopping yet? So not looking forward to that. It was easier when the nieces and nephews were younger. Now they are so picky.
Next week isn't looking any better.
This blog is just where I leave my thoughts on being an artist and life itself.

Thoughts On A Sunday Afternoon

It was a beautiful day today. This afternoon after getting home from running around town I decided to sweep the leaves off the porch (mostly because I hate slipping on wet leaves in the mornings as I'm leaving.).
It was warm (around 72 degrees), sunny, and calm. I could hear thoughtout the neighborhood others busy outside, too. One neighbor was working on his car, another sawing wood, and someone weedeating in the cemetary across the road. Yet another neighbor, a farmer, was on his tractor a few hills over, another came riding up the street on his Tennessee Walking horse.
Birds were chirping, dogs barking, geese flying by overhead. Even the honeysuckles and some roses are holding on.
It is astounding that it is so lovely this close to the winter holidays with Thanksgiving just five days away.
I do like it here. I just wish I had a bigger house, a bigger yard, and somewhat closer to town!
A Great Movie
I went to the movies today with all the intentions of seeing a different movie, but decided to see Unstoppable instead. I'm glad I did. I loved it! True, some critics did not, but in my opinion critics are totally clueless to what people really want to see (one said it was full of cliques. Well, life is full of cliques and people can relate to them in stories. Then they know who to root for and who to boo. One said that the movie had a sexy actress trying to be an everyday working woman. Hey, who says everyday working women can't be sexy!)
Since I love action movies I found this movie to have a great plot, believable characters, and alot of action. Not nonstop action. We need some calmn scenes to balance.
If you plan on going out for a movie date soon I highly recommend this movie. Or you can just see another Harry Potter movie like everyone else.

Wow Jewelry!
Usually I don't pick this magazine up, but I was in Barnes and Noble today trying to decide on a new magazine to buy when this cover caught my eye. I don't know why I have not noticed it before. Out of curosity I picked it up and started to flip through it. Wow! I am floored by the mixed media jewelry in it. Beautiful work. I'm itching to come up on some designs like the ones in it's pages. This is the Autumn 2010 issues so I'm glad I found it before it was removed.
So busy Saturday with family stuff and movies on Sunday, but I WILL find time to do some jewelry.
