Hot Damn, I'm Back!!!!!

Today is Happy Monday. And I'm happy to have my cable and internet back on. Nearly two weeks without both nearly drove me nuts. So must make sure to keep Charter Cable paid up, but money has been scarse lately, especially with such high heating bills these last few months. So, I'm back. Feels good.

Names

Today is Get A Different Name Day.
Have you ever wished you could pick your own name? If so, what would it be? Something exotic? Mundane? Foreign? Or way out there?
I have always liked my name. I feel it suits me. But I do have another name given to me by a Sioux/Cherokee friend's grandfather, who was a shaman. I went through a naming ceramony. I am Dances In Moonlight. Don't asked me to say it in the native tongue.
So, I need to sign off now. Have a great weekend, whatever you choose to call yourself.

Be Electrific Day

Today is Be Electrific Day. Not quite sure what that means, but it sounds good.

It is also National Visit a Shut-in Day. There is nothing like the smile on the face of a elderly person's face when someone makes the effort to visit them. To relieve their loneliness. I mean, really, how much trouble can it be to spend a hour or two to make a shut-in happy.

It is also Satisfied Being Single Day. I do enjoy being single. I like going out with male friends, but I really don't know if I can stand having them live with me. I already have my nephew here and two tom cats. That is enough males for me to deal with in the house.

well, today is Read in the Tub Day and I love to read. I have my favorites that I reread at least every two years. I have decided to re-read Christine Feehan's Dark Carpathain series. I love her books.

I based her on the Maiden, first of the three goddesses in the wiccan faith. Anyway I have it on ebay. Crossed-fingers. I could use some extra cash right now.

Goundhog Day

I sure hope that the groundhog does not see his shadow. I want winter to be over!

Today is also Imbolc. I'm not a Wiccan myself, but I always celebrate Imbolc since being introduced to it by a few Wiccan friends. Maybe because I love candles. Maybe because I need a visual symbol to know that winter won't last much longer. I know many of you grow tired of hearing how much I hate winter, but since I suffer from arthritis the cold just keeps me in pain. I long for warmer days and less pain.

My Happy Monday post is about one of my favorite things-a full winter moon. Saturday was a wolf moon, meaning a really bright moon. Here it was shining down on new fallen snow. A really beautiful sight. I tried to capture it in this photo.

Obviously, I need to practice taking night photos.

Is it any wonder that our ancestors worshipped the moon.
