Art Magnets

I made these 2x2 mini original abstracts on magnets for an art festival. They wanted us to show works that were easy to carry. I thought magnets with an original work of art on it would be different. I really found working on an 2x2 surface a challange. I have never worked this small! Whew!

Trying to get a really good picture was the pits. I so need a better camera or a scanner.

Here is a few things I have been working on-

I have found working on these 4x4 canvases a challange. I just fell in love with these 3 D butterflies and flowers I found at the local Michaels. I knew I would find a use for them.

Colorful Abstract BSE

This a new abstract I finished this week. I also included some close ups so you can see the textures of the piece

New Art on Etsy

So, I just put some new paintings on Etsy. I hope I sell at least one. The money would go to help my poor cat. He needs a vet bad and I don't have any money until Wednesday. I hope he last that long.

A Mixed Media Painting

I tried to get rid of the glare, but everywhere I moved it was still there. It is a very simple mixed media, but I like it. As a bonus, when I added the bit of note at the bottom I happened to look at the date on it-December 26th, my birthday. Cool, uh?

Pink Chocolate

This a recent collage I did using a color scheme I usually don't use-pink and a chocolate brown. I found this lovely collage sheet at our local Michaels and just could not resist getting it.

I normally buy only one sheet of any paper I like to use. I figure one sheet should be enough for a few works, but beyond that would be overload.

I would love to hear any comments (good and bad) from everyone about it. What do you think?

A Small Gem

I did this while waiting for the ham to cook on Thanksgiving day. I started it out as an collage of stars papers and cut outs, but then decided to add the the girl's face using watercolor crayons and wax crayon. Then I finished it off with a little gold ink. It is among the first pieces on my new etsy shop.

This a small collage I did while watching tv one night. She makes me think of Sandra Bullock for some reason.
