Names

Today is Get A Different Name Day.
Have you ever wished you could pick your own name? If so, what would it be? Something exotic? Mundane? Foreign? Or way out there?
I have always liked my name. I feel it suits me. But I do have another name given to me by a Sioux/Cherokee friend's grandfather, who was a shaman. I went through a naming ceramony. I am Dances In Moonlight. Don't asked me to say it in the native tongue.
So, I need to sign off now. Have a great weekend, whatever you choose to call yourself.

Dances in Moonlight...wow, that is beautiful! I've been thinking a lot about names lately as I read in a book that to become Hindu one needs to change his or her name. I think my attachment to my name has to do with being named by my mom. I never considered that I am not my name, but I certainly feel as if I am!
